In-Depth Summary:

Jeanne Lanvin commissioned Arpège as a birthday gift for her musician daughter Marie-Blanche. Introduced in 1927, the fragrance takes its name from an arpeggio—a succession of musical notes. André Fraysse and Paul Vacher developed its layered floral-aldehydic character, with bright aldehydes giving way to an abundant bouquet and a warm, woody base.

This 1/4 fl. oz bottle holds Arpège Perfume Extrait. The stopper has a chip, shown in the photographs.
