Introduced in 1947 as the first fragrance of Parfums Christian Dior, Miss Dior was created to accompany the New Look and was sprayed through the couture house during Dior’s debut collection. Jean Carles and Paul Vacher shaped its green floral chypre structure, pairing galbanum and aldehydes with a formal floral heart and a mossy, leathery base.
This offering is a circa-1950s Miss Dior amphora presentation with a 1/2 fl. oz Baccarat bottle, approximately 50% full, corded and sealed. Designed by Guerry Colas and executed in crystal by Baccarat, the amphora form is a major part of this bottle’s collector significance. This offering contains the original vintage formulation.
