Jacques Guerlain introduced L’Heure Bleue in 1912. Its name refers to the blue hour, the suspended moment when daylight fades over Paris, and the fragrance has long been associated with the final elegance of the Belle Époque before the First World War. Bergamot and aniseed open into carnation, orange blossom, heliotrope, rose and tuberose, while iris, vanilla and musk give the composition its soft, dusky finish.
