Bernard Chant created Aramis as a bold spicy leather chypre, and the men's version arrived in 1964. Its name comes from the elegant musketeer in Alexandre Dumas's The Three Musketeers. Citrus, herbs and spices lead into jasmine, patchouli, orris and sandalwood, while leather, oakmoss, castoreum, ambergris and musk give the scent its unmistakably deep finish.
