Dana introduced 20 Carats in Paris in 1933 and brought it to a wider American audience during the 1940s. The original spicy floral fougère opens with bergamot, orange, cherry and warm spices, moves through heliotrope, carnation, rose, jasmine and aromatic herbs, and settles into woods, moss, resins, tobacco, vanilla and musk. Its name and early gold-leaf presentations gave the perfume an unmistakable air of glamour.
