Introduced in the United States in 1950, Magie was created for Lancôme by perfumer Georges Leplieux during the house’s early years under founder Armand Petitjean. Its soft aldehydic green floral oriental composition opens with aldehydes, citrus, and aromatic green notes before unfolding into an elaborate floral heart. Balsams, moss, woods, vanilla, and animalic notes give the perfume a warm, complex foundation.
