Created by perfumer Guy Robert in 1961 as Hermès's first fragrance for women, Calèche was reinterpreted in 1992 as Calèche Soie de Parfum. The name refers to the horse-drawn carriages emblematic of the House and its silk métier. Bergamot, mandarin, orange blossom and aldehydes brighten a heart of jasmine, lily of the valley, rose, gardenia, iris and ylang-ylang, while oakmoss, sandalwood, cedar and vetiver give the composition its poised chypre finish.
