Created by Jacqueline Fraysse after two years of development, Cassandra debuted in France in 1935 and reached the United States in 1936. Its name recalls the prophetic princess of Greek mythology, and the Grecian theme continues in this deluxe Ionic-column flacon designed by Paul H. Ganz and made in hand-cut Baccarat crystal.
Cassandra is a floral aldehyde fragrance that opens with aldehydes, bergamot, lemon and geranium before moving into lavender, hazelnut, jasmine, rose, galbanum, patchouli, myrrh and honey. Amber, resins, sandalwood, civet, benzoin, vanilla, oakmoss, styrax and musk form its rich base.
