CIE began with Jacqueline Cochran in 1976 and reached a wider audience after Shulton introduced it through its Contemporary Fragrance Group the following year. Sparkling aldehydes, raspberry, citrus and green accents lead into jasmine, Bulgarian rose, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, carnation and orris. Incense, woods, moss, vetiver, musk, vanilla and patchouli create its polished chypre finish. Candice Bergen became the perfume's memorable spokeswoman during its late-1970s and early-1980s campaign.
