Donna Karan launched her first signature perfume in September 1992 after developing it closely with her husband, sculptor Stephan Weiss. Jean-Claude Delville and Pierre Wargnye shaped Casablanca lily, apricot, osmanthus and luminous florals around suede, cashmere, sandalwood, patchouli, amber and incense. The scent won a 1993 FiFi award, while Weiss's sculptural bottles turned each concentration into a modern design object. The original perfume was discontinued after only a few years and has become especially sought after by collectors.
