In-Depth Summary
Created by Paul Parquet in 1882, Fougère Royale—“Royal Fern”—gave its name to the fougère family. Lavender, citrus and herbs open into floral warmth, followed by oakmoss, hay, tonka, musk and vanilla; its pioneering use of synthetic coumarin helped shape modern perfumery.
This offering is an unused 2 1/8 oz Fougère Royale Shaving Soap by Houbigant from circa the 1930s.
