Created in 1930, Joy was Jean Patou’s defiant answer to the austerity of the Great Depression. He gave Henri Alméras freedom to work without regard to cost, and the result was an opulent love letter to rose and jasmine, enriched by tuberose and ylang-ylang over sandalwood, musk, and civet. This offering is a sealed circa-1970s 1/2 fl. oz Joy Perfume Extrait with a gold foil label, containing the discontinued formulation.
