Created in 1930, Joy was Jean Patou’s defiant answer to the austerity of the Great Depression. He gave Henri Alméras freedom to work without regard to cost, and the result was an opulent love letter to rose and jasmine, enriched by tuberose and ylang-ylang over sandalwood, musk, and civet. This offering is a sealed 1/2 fl. oz Joy Perfume Extrait in a rare circa-1954 bottle etched Bottle Made In France on the base, containing the original formulation.
