Created by Jean Carles in 1932, Tabu launched Dana with a daring oriental built around a powerful patchouli-and-carnation accord. Bergamot, orange blossom and basil lead into carnation, rose, jasmine and clover, followed by patchouli, amber and musk. In 1941, Dana paired the perfume with René Prinet's passionate painting The Kreutzer Sonata, creating the famous kissing-couple campaign that became inseparable from Tabu's romantic image.
