Created by Dominique Ropion and introduced in 1984, Ysatis combines floral, chypre and oriental accords in a richly faceted composition. Green notes, aldehydes, fruit, rosewood and coconut lead into tuberose, jasmine, narcissus, carnation, rose and ylang-ylang, while patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, amber, honey and animalic notes deepen the base. Its many-sided personality became one of Givenchy's defining perfume successes of the decade.
